This is a complete guide to hunting Ducks in Deadside.
Overall, Duck hunting is one of the better ways to get lots of food in Deadside, without having to spend any money. Each Duck provides lots of food, and depending on the area you are hunting, it is possible to completely fill your inventory with Ducks
Not much is needed to hunt Ducks, all you need is;
You don't specifically need a shotgun, you can use any gun in the game, but a shotgun tends to be the easiest.
In order to hunt a Duck, you need to find them first. Ducks spawn hiding inside of tall reeds by bodies of water.
There are two methods to finding the Ducks inside of the reeds, the first is to use a Duck Call. This item when used will make a Duck noise, and any Ducks in the area will respond, giving you their location. From there, you can walk to the Duck, which will scare it. The Duck will fly away, and while it is flying, you can shoot and collect it.
The second method is to just skip the Duck Call completely. Instead, you just sprint through the bushes, scaring any Ducks that might be hiding. When a Duck gets scared, it will make a scared call, giving you the location, making this second method much much quicker than the Duck Call method. This is what most players tend to do.
No matter which method you chose, in the end, you should have yourself a fresh Duck!
The rest is easy, just place your Duck on the ground, and cut it up with your Knife. This will give you two Raw Duck Meat for each Duck you kill.
From there, craft a campfire, place your Raw Duck Meat inside, and light it with your lighter. Each Raw Duck Meat will take 20 seconds to cook, giving you Cooked Duck Meat. Each piece will give you 25 food.
