¶ Fishing
This a complete guide on how to Fish in Deadside, starting with the required materials, and the process of catching a Fish
Overall, Fishing is quite slow compared to Duck Hunting, which provides much more food in a shorter amount of time. However, Fishing can be done at any location with water, while Ducks only spawn at specific locations on the map. This means Fishing is useful if you are far away from any Duck spawns, or if you have a body of water near or inside your base.
¶ Required Materials
In order to catch and cook a fish, all your will need is;
Once you have collected all three of these tools, you are ready to begin fishing
¶ Catching a Fish
In order to catch a Fish, equip your Fishing Rod by placing it on your hotbar. When you approach the water, you will be prompted to use LMB to cast.
Once your line is in the water, you will wait for a bite. When you see the bobber go down with a splash, click LMB to strike. This will reel in the line, and you will have a fresh Fish in your inventory
All you need to do now is cook your Fish. This is done by placing the Fish on the ground, and using your Knife on it. From there, you will need a lighter to start your campfire, to cook the Raw Fish
Each Cooked Fish only provides 25 food each.
¶ Over Fishing
It is possible to over-fish an area, although this is mainly relevant in the Safe Zone, where people are likely fishing all the time. While Fishing, it is a good idea to move to a new spot each time you catch a Fish. This makes sure you aren't over-fishing an area, which means you catch fish at the fastest possible rate.
