Roaming Traders are an Event that provides the player with an opportunity to purchase high tier items, or sell their stock for an extra 5% profit. You can also purchase items at a 5% discount
¶ Trader Mechanics & Types
These traders will periodically spawn out in the world, sending a notification to the entire server, and creating an icon on the map. If you travel to the traders location, you will see a parked vehicle surrounded by sandbags. Players can then interact with the Trader NPC to buy or sell items. Unlike the Safe Zone Traders, these are not inside of a Safe Zone, so anyone interacting with a Roaming Trader can easily be shot. The Traders will sell items that you could normally only get by completing Events, like Stalker Bags, and M99s. They will also purchase items from the player for twice the normal price. Its common for players to store items in their base, and then sell a large amount of them if a Roaming Trader happens to spawn nearby. The items that the Trader buys and sell depends on the type. Weapons Traders will only buy and sell weapons and weapon attachments, and Equipment Traders will only buy and sell clothing, armor, and bags. Some Roaming Traders are a combination of the two, and can buy and sell the items of both Weapons and Equipment Traders.
