¶ Weapon Overview
The GRM-40 is the only grenade launcher in Deadside, and it is an extremely rare, and extremely powerful tool. It fires a single VG-25, which will explode instantly when it comes into contact with an object, instantly killing anything inside of the blast radius. The explosion radius is a bit smaller than that of an R-5 grenade, but still large enough that it can kill players hiding behind cover. The GRM-40 is a very situation dependent weapon, for most applications, the GRM-40 is either not effective, or not worth the price to run. Each shot costs 21.37K each, so trying to do an Epic Mission with one of these, will almost certainly result in you losing money by the end of it. However, for situations like Base Raiding, or PvP in close quarters areas, the GRM-40 can be extremely effective.
This weapon can be purchased from a Roaming Trader. They can spawn in a Heli Crash, Cargo Drop, Bunker Crate, or the reward in a Medium, Hard, or Epic Mission.
The GRM-40 is based off the real life RGM-40 “Kastet," which translates to “Brass Knuckles." It is a standalone version of the GP-30, which is typically mounted under the barrel of an AK platform rifle.
This weapon is the only weapon in Deadside that cannot be repaired once damaged.
This weapon has no attachments available in game.
