The AR4 is your standard “general purpose” rifle, meaning it will perform relatively well in almost all situations you might find yourself in. Of course, this comes with the drawback of not being the best at any one thing, so you may find yourself outclassed up against more specialized weapons.
This weapons price of 35K is reasonable for the performance, which puts it in direct competition with the AK-mod, which sits at the same price. Compared to the AK-mod, the AR4 offers better handling, simpler recoil, more weapon modding options, and a slightly faster cyclic rate (+50). However, the AK-mod does 4 more damage, its ammo is much more available in the field compared to 5.56. With that said though, the 4 less damage doesn't really matter if you plan to use these weapons in full auto, as the AR4 has a faster time to kill because of its higher cyclic rate. So really, the AR4 is almost always going to be the better choice for a PvP focused player, but if you are just planning on farming AI, the ammo availability of the AK-mod will make it a better choice.
The AR4 is based off the real life M4A1, with an aftermarket magazine and B5 SOPMOD stock.
