Inflatable Boats are a small and quiet alternative to the bigger, slower Swamp Boats. The Inflatable Boats are 10kph faster, and much quieter, however, the Inflatable Boats are much weaker, taking a lot more damage when scraping the ground, or when shot. This boat also has 10 minutes of less runtime, due to a smaller fuel tank, and has 6 less item slots compared to the Swamp Boats. Finally, it can only has seats for two people, and much less space to pile extra people on.
The Inflatable Boat tends to be a better option for Solo players, or for small groups. Their faster speed gets you where you are going faster, and this boat is extremely quiet, making it much safer overall, even considering that it takes more damage. Large groups might want to consider taking two Inflatable Boats instead of a single Swamp Boat, this way they get the faster speed, and extra capacity, at the cost of double the fuel consumption. For naval PvP however, this boat is much worse than a Swamp Boat, as it doesn't give you as much room to move, it has much less cover, and much less durability. If you are being shot at while driving one of these, probably the best thing to do is drive to land as soon as possible, while avoiding fire. It might be a good idea in this boat, to avoid open water, and stick near the beach in case of emergencies.
Inflatable boats will typically spawn with at least a third of its fuel, giving you around 6-7 minutes of runtime. If your fuel gets low, find a Fuel Can to refill the tank.
Boats will always spawn at full health, but in the case your boat is damaged, find and use Duct Tape
Inflatable Boats can currently spawn at many possible points around rivers, lakes and coastlines
By crafting a Vehicle Lock and placing it on the vehicle with (G), you can prevent other players from entering or looting your vehicle. This will not prevent them from destroying it though.
With a Mechanics Workbench, you can prevent your vehicle from de-spawning after you logout. This requires you to gather some materials that are consumed over time
The controls for the driver are quite simple, use WASD to go forwards, backwards, and to steer. In order to steer, you will need to provide some sort of forward or backwards movement
Press G to switch between the drivers seat, and the passenger seat, but only if the seat isn't already taken.
