¶ Weapon Overview
The M99 is an extremely rare, extremely powerful high tier Sniper Rifle chambered in the 50 “BGM” cartridge. It almost always instantly kills whatever it hits. This weapon is long, slow, heavy, with an absurd ADS time, and an even longer reload. If you are using this weapon correctly, those downsides won't matter after you drop your target in a single shot. The ammo itself is also pretty expensive, 17K for a stack of 20 bullets. Because of the limited ammo, the M99 is best used in a PvP setting where you will get the most out of each shot.
This weapon will one-shot anything not wearing a Heavy Assault Vest, the only armor that will save you against this weapon. If you encounter someone wearing this armor, a shot to the head will always do the trick.
Its still useful in PvE against small numbers of difficult AI, like Heli Guards or Cargo Bosses, as well as auto-turrets. The M99 can destroy turrets in about 3 shots, making it great for mini-bunkers and raiding if you can afford to feed and repair it.
The M99 is based off the real life Barrett Model 99.
