The RPK-mod is one of the two light machineguns found in Deadside, this one is typically found in the hands of deadly Heli Guards, however it can also sometimes be found inside some military bases, or used by normal military AI. In many ways, the RPK-mod is very similar to the AK-mod, and is mostly just a sidegrade of the AK-mod. The RPK-mod has a longer barrel, better durability, and 10 more rounds in the magazine. The RPK-mod also has the potential to hold 75 rounds in the mag, with its Extended Magazine attachment, more than double what the AK-mod can hold. The RPK does deal two less damage, but this difference is so marginal that it wouldn't be fair to call it a drawback. Because of these differences, the RPK-mod really only does better in outdoor combat, where the longer barrel isn't an issue. The RPK-mod has trouble indoors because of its long barrel, but its slightly larger magazine can be useful in some situations.
The RPK-mod is based off the real life RPK, which is essentially an AKM modified for sustained fire. The major differences being that the RPK uses a longer heavy barrel, reinforced front trunnion, longer receiver, larger stock, and a bipod. It is typically seen with larger magazines, although these are all standardized for use in all AKs, therefore the RPK can use a standard AKM mag.
