The UAZ is a large vehicle, used for quickly moving squads and gear across the map. These are typically found in garages, in both large civilian and military areas. Typically more rare then the Ural Motorbike. Compared to the motorbikes, these vehicles can seat more people and gear, while protecting the players inside. The glass is not bulletproof though, so you are still vulnerable. You cannot shoot while inside of this vehicle, so you can get caught in dangerous situations if you aren't careful while driving.
The UAZ will always spawn at full health, but in the case your boat is damaged, find and use a Transport Repair Kit.
Can be refueled with Fuel Cans
By crafting a Vehicle Lock and placing it on the vehicle with (G), you can prevent other players from entering or looting your vehicle. This will not prevent them from destroying it though.
¶ Upkeep Requirements
With a Mechanics Workbench, you can prevent your vehicle from de-spawning after you logout. This requires you to gather some materials that are consumed over time, including Mechanics Tools, which can only be found in Mini-Bunkers, and rarely in Buried Stashes.
¶ Materials required for 24hrs of vehicle upkeep:
- 6x Spark Plugs
- 6x Machine Oil
- 6x Mechanics Tools
¶ Controls
The controls for the driver are quite simple, use WASD to go forwards, backwards, and to steer.
The driver can use N to use the horn, and T to toggle your lights
Passengers can switch seat quickly by pressing G, but they can only switch between open seats.
Earplugs can be enabled to reduce the engine sounds, (default key Y) but beware this will also muffle any incoming gunshot sounds too!
