¶ Weapon Overview
The VSD is a high tier DMR that does a large amount of damage per shot with high pen. Compared to the NK417, the VSD has less overall damage output due to its low cyclic rate. However the VSD can get kills in fewer overall shots because of its higher damage. This makes the VSD better suited to longer range combat where multiple hits are exponentially more difficult. At close to medium ranges though, the NK417 has a clear advantage. The VSD has only 10 rounds in each magazine, much worse weapon handling, and slower reload times. Because of its high damage and common ammunition, this weapon is one of the very best for quickly and safely clearing out high tier PvE events.
The VSD is based on the real life SVD, commonly called the “Dragunov”, the last name of the projects lead designer.
