The AR4-M is a higher quality AR4. It has slightly more controllable recoil, has a shorter barrel, and costs 5K more to purchase. It also offers better upgrades once unlocked, making it a better rifle in the late game stages of progression.
Like the AR4, the AR4-M is also based off the real life M4A1. But this version has a modified upper with a shorter barrel and low profile gas block. It also features an aftermarket stock and iron sights.
